They Have to Let You In - Full Length Dramedy

6 Characters. Five unrelated adults share a new ‘half-and-half’ – state-supported housing that is a converted Victorian rooming house in a bad neighborhood in a small city. When a robbery with assault occurs across the street, no one trusts the police to assist with their investigation. The occupants seem to get along like the “God damned Brady Bunch” until Christmas when loyalties are challenged and the fiction of their stories is revealed. 

Mischief at the Mermaid Tavern - short Comedy

4 Characters. Anne Hathaway and her friend Gertie Faulkner (aka the anonymous playwright Gregory Gartner) are disguised as men so they can spy on Anne’s husband, William Shakespeare and Gertie’s idol, Christopher Marlowe, drinking ale at the famous Mermaid Tavern. Truths are revealed, stories are told and no one is who they seem to be. 

Nice Neighborhood - short Drama

3 Characters. Joanie invites the new preacher to her house on a summer afternoon and says her family moved to be closer to her brother Warren. She steps forward to share her secret with the audience; Warren is incarcerated in the nearby prison and will be released soon. As she tells more, Warren acts along. 

Drugs, War and Nine - short Drama

3 Characters. Dr. Jefferies is yet another new intern that nurse Tucker must train. He encourages Doug to recite stories of his youth in New Haven attending the 1970 May Day rally in support of the Black Panthers, being drafted, serving time in Viet Nam and more. Although there is some historic truth to Doug’s stories, Nurse Tucker knows that Dr. Jefferies has been ‘played.’ With prodding, she gets Doug to tell the truth about his life and the surprising events that led to his residence in a long-term care facility decades later..
